BNSF Bridge Hydrologic & Hydraulic Report

Systemwide

RIC staff has worked with BNSF structures managers since 2010 for the replacement program for structures in Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Texas, and Wyoming.

Our team has worked with BNSF to ensure that the proposed structures are properly sized to meet BNSF’s hydraulic design criteria, to provide the BNSF bridge staff with bridge survey sheets, and to interface with county and city officials. Our deliverable to BNSF was a hydrologic and hydraulic report with recommended size and type as well as bridge survey sheets for each structure so that BNSF can carry the bridge design forward to construction on their future bridge rehabilitation program.
