Carl joined the RIC team after a long career providing construction management and observation services for a variety of infrastructure improvement projects across the Kansas City Metro area. His over 40 years of experience includes 19 years at the Kansas Department of Transportation as a Construction Project Manager and Senior Engineering Technician where he provided daily concrete paving, aggregate base, asphalt, and bridge inspections and served as Materials Department Supervisor for KC Metro projects. Most recently, Carl served as the CIP Project Coordinator for over 8 years at the City of Merriam. There, he provided daily project management and inspections for street and storm projects, managed the yearly County Assisted Road Program, reviewed consultant plans and specifications for compliance, prepared CIP Action Items and monthly CIP Updates for City Council, and prepared and tracked payments to contractors and design engineers.
In his free time, Carl enjoys doing handyman crafts and spending time with his three granddaughters.
