Job Summary
RIC is seeking an experienced CAD technician to produce quality survey drawings, legal descriptions, easement exhibits, and process data collected by our in-house survey team. The ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines is required. The candidate will support our registered land surveyors and civil engineers on a variety of infrastructure projects. We are seeking an individual who shares our passion for a high quality work product and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize AutoCAD and/or MicroStation to prepare boundary, ALTA, topographic and other surveys
- Communicate with internal and external parties
- Prepare as-built surveys
- Prepare easement descriptions and exhibits
- Work with land surveying crew to accurately draft survey data and project managers to meet required deadlines
Requirements
- AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience in survey drafting
- Work effectively and professionally with internal team members and external client personnel
- Organized and punctual
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple teams
- Ability to prioritize project deadlines
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Experience in engineering environment or engineering and/or technical coursework
- Accurately represent survey data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software
- Land survey experience preferred
- Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 90% of the day
Education Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 year of experience
- Training or coursework in a technical drafting or related field preferred
