RIC provided construction inspection, field testing, and asphalt plant laboratory testing for the mill and overlay of US-56 Highway in Douglas and Johnson Countys. Our responsibilities included daily verification and tracking of pay quantities, review of material certifications, monitoring in-place asphalt densities, and oversight of traffic control operations. RIC also inspected the removal and replacement of asphalt shoulders and placement of permanent pavement markings. All inspection, testing, quantities, and project documentation was entered and maintained in KDOT’s AASHTOWare/AWP system to support accurate project records, pay estimates, and compliance with KDOT requirements.
